7-Zip is a logicel under licence GNU LGPL which allows the compression
and the d?mpression of files under Windows.

Supporting
all the standard sizes (7z, ZIP, CAB, RAR, ARJ, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR,
CPIO, RPM and DEB), 7-Zip is m? jusqu?0% more powerful for the
compression of files ZIP than its paying counterparts.


The format 7z is however still much more powerful (30-70%) that format
ZIP and it are possible to make a set of car-extractable files easily
of it.

The software is multilangue.
