• On the Synology :

1. Create a new  LUN
   
2. While creating the target define a username and password for CHAP

If the Synology is only connected with one network cable then you need to agregate the two nics. Go to Network -> Network interface -> Link agregation -> Network fault tolerance

1. Make sure you have at least on VMKernel
2. In network adapter, add and iSCSI software if necessary. You should not add one if you already have iSCSI free.
   
3. Edit the adapter

2. Configure CHAP
   
2. Network configuration
   
1. Add the correct VMkernel
3. Dynamic
1. Add nothing
   
4. Static
1. Add
1. Synology ip
   
2. in target type the Synology IQN

You can now mount the storage.
