  • [COMPUTERIZED TRANSLATION] VPN
    The VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a virtual private network, i.e. an extension of the local area network towards a distant site through another network (in general Internet). The data which forward via Internet in this virtual private network are cryptées according to various protocols (IPSec, PPTP, etc.) and algorithms (OF, AES, MD5, SHA1, etc). Many routers ADSL general public have integrated functionalities VPN (for example ZyXEL P-2602HW which combines ADSL, VoIP in SIP, WLAN and VPN).

    Asterisk is a telephone exchange (PABX) in free software, multi-platform (Linux, BSD and MacOSX), published under licence LPG. The supported protocols are SIP, H323 and IAX (Inter-Asterisk eXchange). This power station provides in particular the following services: voice messaging, conference, vocal waiter, distribution of the calls, reception of fax. A footbridge towards the standard public networks (traditional telephony (STN), mobile telephony (GSM), etc.) is also provided. The instigator of the project is Mark Spencer of the Digium company.
